About

My stories, poetry, and articles have appeared in literary magazines, as well as Honey Colony, 50-Word Stories, Last Leaves Magazine, Grit, The Dead Mule School of Southern Literature, Kota Press, History’s Women, various poetry anthologies and many other publications.  I have also worked as a book editor.  Several published novels include Gypsy Wind, An Angel for Leonie, and The Heart Weaver.

I’ve been writing for years, and I’ve wanted to be a writer since I was about five, when I fell in love with words.  My dad used to read me William Blake’s poetry when I was young, and my mom made up wonderful bedtime stories for me, fueling my love of reading and writing.

For over 20 years, I have been a massage therapist, and I enjoy writing about and researching different modes of natural healing.

My writing is morphing again, and I can’t wait to see where it leads me.  To borrow a quote from my daughter, “Writing is a precious art, an open surgery of the heart.”

Thank you for visiting my website! Any comments, suggestions and emails are certainly welcome.
